Who we are and what we do...
Blue & Sixpence was born out of our own experience - we wanted fabulous service, choice, style, fit and price- and just couldn't find it.
On average, a gown takes 9000 litres of water to make, consumes vast amounts of raw materials and resources before being shipped halfway around the world. We knew we could do better!
All of our gowns are brand new designer samples, meaning you save at least 50% compared to buying made-to-order. We also help recent Brides to sell their gowns, too! Regular "Sell Your Gown Sundays" are announced on our socials - don't miss them!
We don't believe that your bridal shopping experience should be dictated by only being able to shop in certain stores.
We stock sizes 4-52 so that every Bride, whatever her shape, size, style or budget can have a wonderful, friendly, relaxed and private Bridal experience.
Ali is also a lady with a curvy figure; she knows exactly what it's like and how to make you feel completely at your ease!

Special experience.
I had the most amazing experience here!! Ali made me feel so welcome and comfortable and I had an amazing time trying on lots of absolutely beautiful gowns, there are so many, all size inclusive and no limit on what you can try! The experience is so so special for a bride to be and I would 1000% recommend to any bride.
I was feeling very uncertain about what I wanted beforehand and Ali was patient and helped me work out what my perfect dress looked like as she is so knowledgeable and tells you honestly what she thinks about each dress.

Ormskirk’s hidden gem.
What a gem! This little tucked away bridal boutique is special. Ali welcomes all with a warm, reasurring, relaxed approach. This lady certainly knows her stuff. The choice of gowns and accessories are abundant with a broad range of sizes & prices, all of which are very fair. Ali begins by including the whole group, asking each of us to choose a dress for the bride. Let the fun begin! Nothing was too much trouble. As mother of the bride, a few tears of joy were shed when......she said 'Yes to the Dress'

Enjoy your fully-immersive Bridal Experience in comfortable privacy. We only have one Bride and her entourage in the boutique, so you have the whole store to yourselves.
